Add a Workspace Manually (xoxc/xoxd)

3 min
Updated February 14, 2026

Connect a Slack workspace by extracting tokens from Chrome DevTools. Works on any browser — no extension required.

1

Sign in to Slack Green

Go to slack.green and sign in with your Google account or email. If you don't have an account yet, the signup takes about 10 seconds.

Once you're in, you'll land on the dashboard. This is where all your connected workspaces show up.

2

Open Slack in your browser

Go to app.slack.com and sign in to the workspace you want to keep green. Make sure you're using the web version, not the desktop app.

3

Get the xoxc token

Open Chrome DevTools (F12 or Cmd+Option+I on Mac).

  1. Go to the Console tab
  2. Paste this and press Enter:
JSON.parse(localStorage.localConfig_v2)
  .teams[
    Object.keys(
      JSON.parse(localStorage.localConfig_v2).teams
    )[0]
  ].token

Copy the value that starts with xoxc-. That's your main auth token.

Get the xoxd token

Still in Chrome DevTools:

  1. Go to the Application tab
  2. In the left sidebar, expand Cookies → click on https://app.slack.com
  3. Find the cookie named d
  4. Double-click the Value column to select it, then copy it

The value starts with xoxd-. That's your cookie token.

5

Paste both tokens on the dashboard

Back on the Slack Green dashboard, click Add Workspace and select the Manual tab.

  • Paste the xoxc- token into the first field
  • Paste the xoxd- token into the second field

Hit Save. Slack Green will verify both tokens are valid and detect your workspace name automatically.

6

Set your schedule (optional)

By default, your workspace stays active 24/7. If you want it to follow a schedule — say, weekdays 9 AM to 6 PM — head to Dashboard → Schedule.

Pick your timezone, active days, and start/end times. The backend will only keep you online during those hours.

You can also use the "Keep me online" slider on the dashboard for a quick 1-10 hour override.

7

You're done

That's it. Your Slack status dot is now green. You can check the dashboard anytime to see your real-time presence — the green ring around your profile picture means it's working.

If you need to add more workspaces, just repeat the process. Free plans support up to 3 workspaces; Pro and CLI are unlimited.
