Yes. When you edit a Slack message, everyone sees the new text with an (edited) label, and nobody gets a new notification. Coworkers cannot view the old version, but notifications, apps in the channel and a save-edits retention setting can keep it. A Mac that keeps going to sleep usually has a short display timer: when the display turns off, the Mac sleeps about a minute later. On battery the default can be 2 minutes. No. A Zoom meeting host cannot read private messages between two other participants, even in a saved chat. Zoom Team Chat on a work account is different: the company owns it, and admins can archive and search it.
